Windsor/Essex County Weather 

 

Being Canada's southernmost point, bordered by the Detroit River, Lake St. Clair and Lake Erie, the Windsor-Essex Region boasts the warmest climate in all of Ontario. The region is located at the same latitude as northern California, and enjoys average temperature above 50°F (10°C) 223 days per year for seven months of short-sleeve weather. The region has four distinct seasons, allowing residents and visitors to enjoy great outdoor activities such as swimming, scuba diving, pond hockey & cross country skiing, hiking on trails and bird watching. The Great Lakes ensure the region has mild winters with very little snow and long warm summers. In the fall, you will enjoy some comfortable and sunny days as well as bracing nights, which make this season a great time of year.
